Video: Android hacked in place of Windows Mobile on a Touch Pro2

While a lot of people are pretty pumped about Windows Phone 7, there’s are some people who definitely are not: everyone stuck on a now antiquated Windows Mobile 6.5 handset. Microsoft has already confirmed that if your phones running 6.5, it’s not going to be running 7 any time soon.
If you can’t join’em, beat’em, right? There’s a new project in the works which aims to breath new life into old Windows Mobile 6.5 phones.. by replacing the whole OS with Android.

CES Day 1: Robots, ereaders, and more
We’re almost through day one of CES here in sunny Las Vegas and we’re pretty pumped. The mood of the show is tempered and realistic. There’s no froth and it seems that CE manufacturers are just glad they made it out of 2009 alive and are now looking forward to a quiet but strong new year.
If you’ve been watching us today you’ve seen robots, new Palm bdevices, ereaders, and more. We’ve seen more “3D” TVs than we can count and the promise of 3D and high-end digital processing inside ultrathin TVs seems to have finally reached fruition. Interestingly, the promise of networked media has finally come true. Your TV can talk to your cellphone and both can talk to your computer. Something that looked like a pipe dream a few years ago is now a reality.
Overall we haven’t seen much amazing at the show this year, and that’s just fine. I’m glad that folks are exited enough about technology to keep pushing out product and, in a more limited way, keep innovating. CES seems muted but there’s still that same old excitement here at the show and it’s a great time to be in tech.

Joojoo tablet hands-on

Marked more by its story than its design, the Joojoo tablet is somewhat of a mythical beast. So when we got a phone call to see it for ourselves with Fusion Garage CEO Chandra Rathakrishnan, we jumped at the opportunity. Turns out it's quite a capable little device, and chief among its feats so far seems to be smooth 1080p YouTube playback. Seriously, we were quite impressed with just how crisp and lag-free it was, at least for the Avatar trailer we tested. Throw in a Webkit-based browser with Silverlight and Flash support (why hello there, Hulu), and yeah, we're pretty pumped. Read on for more impressions.
