4N wristwatch delivers digital time in a mechanical fashion

Given how simple we've made timekeeping over the years, it was inevitable that luxury watches would have to move into more esoteric lands in order to exude the appropriate sense of wonder when witnessed by those who can't afford them. You might call that the Xperia Pureness effect. Ergo, quite aside from its platinum or 18-carat gold construction options, the 4N watch tries to grab the spotlight with its quirky disc-based mechanism, which rotates numbers (four numbers, hence 4N) into position to display a digital readout of the time. The fact that all three discs -- built out of aluminum or a titanium alloy -- and the MVT01 movement are exposed to the eye earns geek cred from us, while the limited run of only 16 units should ensure the desired exclusivity for the watches' future owners. As the old saying about price goes, if you have to ask, you can't afford one.

CrunchDeals: Buy two, get one free Xbox 360 Platinum hits

Oh, winter snowstorms. Your lion’s roar is but a cat’s meow provided you don’t knock out the power or prevent the UPS or FedEx trucks from completing their routes.

If you do knock out the power or render delivery services immobile, then you’re an asshole. An asshole of a storm.

If not, please feel free to continue canceling school and work for everyone (except bloggers and other work-from-home professionals) while we all play video games.

Long story short (too late) if you need Xbox 360 games to play, Amazon’s doing a buy-two-get-one-free deal on Platinum Hits titles. Just add three to your cart and the lowest priced one will carry the low, low price of nothing.

Deal ends next Saturday, February 13th.

OreObject SPHEREtouch mouse is a $155 ball of touch-enabled steel

Dare we say that circular-shaped mice are actually becoming a trend? Swooping in like a ball on Newton's Cradle is the OreObject SPHEREtouch mouse to knock the Jelfin mouse on its head. Though this time we've got to admit the pricey SPHEREtouch has us rather intrigued. Not only is the handmade mouse available in your choice of steel, titanium and platinum, but OreObject has shaken things up with a large horizontal scroll wheel and two touch-sensitive buttons. Mac and PC compatible, it all sounds interesting and looks very pretty until you realize that the steel version starts at $155 and that the platinum one will set you back $225. For that kind of money, we'd at least expect them to cut the cord for some Bluetooth. But hey, if you've always wanted at least one indestructible ball of steel that source link has your name all over it.

Cadillac XTS Platinum concept has OLED display

Cadillac XTS Platinum concept has OLED display

Want to purchase a new set of wheels that will blow your budget by another few grand? Simple, just pick up one that uses an OLED display and you'll meet with an inflated price tag, instantly. That's what the Cadillac XTS Platinum concept offers - an OLED display for gauges as well as the center stack controls and infotainment systems. Folks sitting behind won't be that priviledged though since they have slim LED displays "only" to keep them entertained throughout the journey. Powered by electricity as well as gas, this hybrid vehicle relies on an AWD powertrain that has a 3.6L V-6 engine as backup. Shouldn't the back seat passengers get the better display? Just wondering, you know, as you wouldn't want your driver to be distracted by Megan Fox in all her bodily goodness on OLED while you're stuck with LED.

Wireworld Platinum Starlight HDMI cable

Wireworld Platinum Starlight HDMI cable

Is one HDMI cable different from another? Purists would say yes, while a vast majority of you out there probably can't tell the difference in output (theoretically offering the same performance), so why bother busting out $1,000 for the Wireworld Platinum Starlight HDMI cable when you can always pick up regular HDMI cables that cost $!50 from Walmart instead? Sometimes, it makes us wonder whether good and common sense is clouded by the amount of money we have in our bank account.
